I arrived home from Ronda with the sense that something quite important had just happened; that a new phase of the journey was about to begin. It was perhaps easier for me to integrate what had just happened with Edgar into my own life, than it was for Edgar to integrate what had just happened with me, into his.
In Damanhur, one aspect of the social structure of the Community, is that we live communally.
Citizens who choose the communitarian formula, also known as “A citizens,” reside in large houses shared by nucleo families of between about 15 and 25 people. Couples, couples with children, singles, youth and the elderly live in the same dwelling to allow for the exchange of experiences among various age groups. Everyone has their own private space and shares common areas with others, such as the kitchen, living room, and rooms dedicated to meeting together.
Each Damanhur citizen chooses where and with whom they want to live, according to their preferences and goals, and of course, depending on the possibilities offered by the community houses. Children live with their parents, yet every citizen feels responsibility for their well-being and has a hand in both their care and economic support. The elderly of the community reside in settings suitable to their specific needs, so they may stay in the family with everyone else.

Although as I write this blog entry, my family and I are living independently again, when I returned from Ronda, it was to our nucleo of Dendera, where we had been living with twenty other adults, our daughter and two other kids of similar age, for many years. The “mission” that we shared as a nucleo family in Dendera, was to be a window for the world into what nucleo life in Damanhur looks like. Many of us worked in PR or media for Damanhur. Our nucleo hosted and was the connecting point for journalists, filmmakers, bloggers, vloggers, sociologists, anthropologists, and others coming from eco-villages worldwide. There were nine languages capable of being spoken at our dinner table. We even had National Geographic there filming at one point while we lived there.
The morning after we had arrived home from Ronda, I was in the kitchen with nucleo-mate, close friend and ally, Anaconda Papaya. Home in Damanhur, I was not yet prepared to share the story of Edgar’s channeled message in Ronda. I wanted to understand the source of the message first; but Anaconda and I are in close confidence, so I did share what had happened with him.
When I shared the story of my dream in Ronda and the message, channeled by the stranger who felt like someone I have always known, Anaconda said immediately, “You need to speak with Gazzella, she just channeled a similar message.”
We also lived with Gazzella. She is an amazing dynamo of a woman who has lived in Damanhur almost since the beginning. Both she and Anaconda had been key figures in the creation of our internal school system within Damanhur. She is a woman of unimpeachable character and her warmth helped to create the kind of nucleo family you feel embraced by and happy to come home to.
Anaconda immediately called Gazzella. She was surprised that he had shared with me that she had just, rather startlingly, channeled something quite particular. Something that she too was holding in confidence, until she clearly understood what to do with the information that had just been transmitted to her.
Unlike Edgar, Gazzella was not new to channeling. Her technique was diverse and there is an interesting story around how her ability to channel began. Bear with me, this will be a little detour from our story.
As I mentioned earlier, Gazzella was deeply involved in our internal school system.
In the late nineties, a group of Damanhurian school children had become aficionados of the Harry Potter books. Inspired by Harry and his friends, a group of our kids went to Falco, Damanhur’s spiritual founder who was a prodigious magician (magician in our definition means someone who understands the laws of the Universe and is able to consciously work with these laws to affect changes that might look miraculous to others who are less adept). Our children asked Falco why they couldn’t have a school here that was more like Hogwarts.
The story goes, that Falco considered their question and then answered that in fact they could have a school like Hogwarts, and he would personally mentor them. There would be some rules however. One rule was that they must be consistent in doing the homework that he assigned them, the other was that what they would learn in his class must be held in reserve.
As another interesting detour; it was this group of middle school students, when they reached high school age, in 2007, who approached the Community with the request to form their own nucleo, where they would live together on their own. The Community considered their proposal, which had one unusual clause in it. In their proposal the teenagers had written that one of the bylaws of their nucleo would be that there was to be no sex in the nucleo, neither with one another or with external partners.
Knowing the hormonal nature of teenagers, the pragmatic adults asked them why they had included this clause. Did they believe that adding this would be the only way they would be allowed to proceed with such a bold project?
The reply was mature beyond their years. The teenagers replied that they were quite aware of the energies and the emotions that could be ignited in intimate relationships and that they were committed to pioneering this project of living together nucleo-style and if they were creating intimate sexual stories with one another, they knew that the project would potentially fail quite rapidly. They would, they assured the Community, take this clause out, when they felt sufficiently mature to deal with the ramifications of supporting intimate relationships under the roof of their communal project.
This was the birth of Casa Ragazzi.
Returning to Gazzella: When Falco agreed to tutor the children in “magic,” Gazzella asked if she could sit in on the class. At first Falco said no, but then reconsidered and from the second or third class, Gazzella began to follow the lessons.
It was in this context that she learned to use a pendulum. In our reality, pendulum’s are used for research, divining, and dowsing. Gazzella learned to use a pendulum over a board with letters, with the swing of the pendulum spelling out answers and messages. While this method may sound clumsy, in more than a decade of utilizing this technique, Gazzella had become extremely proficient and fluent.
When I sat down with Gazzella to share my experience in Ronda, and the message that Edgar had channeled there, she in turn shared the message that had come to her.
The message had come from a group of entities that she has had a relationship channeling for some time. A few days prior, perhaps the same day our message had arrived, these entities had impressed upon her an urgency to now channel a book.
The request from these forces, who identified themselves as “Helpers of the human species,” was that she not only channel this book, but that she have it translated into English, have a website built to freely distribute the book in both English and Italian, and have both book and website ready by January 31, 2015. This was the first week of December, 2014. They were giving her a mere six weeks to accomplish this.
This was what the entities said in the introduction of the book, which is titled “Living in Freedom: A Manual for the Liberation of Humanity”:
The world will soon turn its eyes to new territories of Being.
You humans can succeed, if you wish, to raise your vibrational frequency to much higher planes. You are the pioneers of this jump and you will soon show the world that it is possible for Humanity to change their way of thinking and living.
We bring you our help so that in the shortest possible time you can succeed in accelerating the process of triggering the movement through which Mankind can finally be liberated from the enemy. We have helped and continue to do so, as you have requested. In many worlds we are helping. The evolution of everything forms our contribution and our work plan is that you can soon live in freedom from any adverse forces.
“Monoposts” on this Planet can successfully change the old structure through which the enemy engages in humans. The Monopost vibrates at a very high frequency level and this allows you to show the opposition that you are no longer in the condition to feel its imprisonment.
We speak to inform you that you will soon begin to move to a new vibrational level; a strong vibration of love that, in this moment, you are not able to even imagine. You are going through many doors. Do not carry your old thought structures and limits. Bring your numerous talents, bring your many varied and vital points of view. We are initiating communication in new codes that will be part of this new frequency.
You will enlighten with your presence the people of this Planet. You’ll begin to bring the world your awareness as awakened human beings. A few more months will pass and then everything will begin in a natural way; you will feel and behave in a noticeably different way from today.
Volunteers on this Planet to help in its liberation, you have come at last to the end of your mission. Now the war must be won, and you will win it. We have assisted and prepared for all of these years for this moment. The summer solstice will bring many changes in the people in every area. Experience it all with great humor, vitality and enthusiasm—this positive transition into other vibrations.
Gosh… Sharing this now, having not read it in two years, and knowing what played out over the next months, this introduction feels like it was a very personal message to Edgar to me. Though in this lifetime, we had only just met the week before, Edgar and I felt drawn together into Gazzella’s daunting task to get the book that she channeled over the next weeks out to the world by the deadline she had been given.
Over the next weeks, as Gazzella channeled in Italian, with the help of a small team of volunteers, here we translated, dear friends in the States edited and provided the cover design and Edgar built the website. The site went live online, with the option to download the book in either Italian or in English, at five seconds after midnight on January 31, 2015.
